Why I Started Suisterhood — And Where We’re Going

Hello Suisters 💜

Today is a special day for me — it’s my mother’s birthday.
She is a strong and powerful single mom who has shown me what feminine strength truly looks like. Who I am today is a reflection of her unconditional love and care.
I want to dedicate this first issue of Suisterhood Newsletter to her and to every woman who shows up, rises up, and cheers others on.

Because of women like you, we have a family.
Because of women like you, we have a society. 💜

Welcome to the very first issue of Suisterhood Newsletter — your inside look at the inspiring women building and leading in the Sui ecosystem.
Whether you’re a builder, designer, community leader, founder, investor — or simply curious about Web3 — you are welcome here.

🌸 What is Suisterhood?

A space where female builders and leaders in the Sui ecosystem come to build, connect, and shine.

A Note from the Founder 👑

I’ve spent most of my life searching for where I belong.

When I was growing up, I didn’t fit neatly into any group. I used to think about it like trying to find the perfect "Product Market Fit" for myself — but really, it was an "Identity Market Fit." I wasn’t a top student. I wasn’t a rebel. When my parents divorced when I was very young, that only made me feel more "different." In school, I wasn’t accepted into any of the ready-made boxes.

I carried that feeling with me for years — always searching, always trying to find a space where I could contribute, be seen, and belong.

But those experiences taught me something powerful:
👉 They gave me resilience.
👉 They gave me an instinct for inclusion — I can sense very quickly when someone is feeling left out.
👉 And they gave me a deep loyalty — once I find a community that accepts me, I will give everything I have to help it thrive.

That changed when I attended SuiHub Athens.

It was an open, vibrant space where ideas were welcomed and conversations flowed. We weren’t just talking about tech — we were discussing opportunities in Web3. I felt that my ideas were truly listened to. The energy, the openness, and the spirit of possibility made me think: this is what building things together feels like.

And in those conversations, the idea for Suisterhood surfaced.

Suisterhood was created so that no woman in Web3 would have to wonder if she belongs.

You belong here.
We build together.
And we amplify each other — because no one builds alone.

Why It Matters

Women are already shaping the future of Web3, and they always have been.

Across the Sui ecosystem, women are:
🚀 Launching protocols
🎨 Designing beautiful user experiences
👩🏻‍💻 Writing core code
🤝 Building communities
📚 Educating the next wave of builders

But too often, their work happens in the shadows, not by choice, but because visibility hasn’t caught up to impact.

That’s where Suisterhood comes in.

We believe that when women’s stories are visible, more women will step forward to build.
When we celebrate those who lead today, we inspire the leaders of tomorrow.
When we connect across disciplines, geographies, and backgrounds, the whole ecosystem becomes stronger.

"I see her — so I know I can do this too."
That’s the magic we’re here to create.
